In the wake of catastrophic flooding across Central Texas, communities are reeling, and the need for immediate, life-saving aid has never been more urgent. Entire neighborhoods are underwater. First responders are working around the clock. Families are displaced, and emergency crews are stretched thin. But in the midst of the chaos, something powerful is happening: people are stepping up.
At the front of this coordinated response effort are two mission-driven nonprofits: Troops Direct and Cops Direct. Known for delivering critical supplies to America’s military and law enforcement professionals, these two organizations have teamed up to send truckloads of disaster relief to the communities and responders who need it most.
Both Troops Direct and Cops Direct operate under the same philosophy: move fast, deliver exactly what’s needed, and eliminate bureaucracy.
Unlike larger institutions that can take weeks or months to respond, these nonprofits are agile. Their teams are in direct contact with search and rescue teams, fire departments, law enforcement agencies, and volunteer organizations across the affected areas. The needs are real, specific, and ever-changing.
From hydration and gloves to medical supplies and cooling systems, every shipment is based on real-time feedback from the ground. Nothing is stockpiled or wasted. If it’s in the truck, it’s already been requested.
Rivers have breached their banks, low-lying areas are submerged, and rescue missions are still underway. Thousands of residents have been evacuated from homes across the Hill Country, and dozens of counties have been declared disaster zones.
Law enforcement, fire crews, and volunteer search teams are working 16+ hour days under extreme conditions. Roads are impassable. Infrastructure is damaged. Access to basic necessities like food, clean water, and first aid is inconsistent at best.
That’s where Troops Direct and Cops Direct come in.
“We’re not waiting to be told what to do,” said Aaron Negherbon, founder of both organizations. “We ask the people on the ground, ‘What do you need most?’ Then we fill trucks with it and deliver it directly. It’s that simple.”
This operation wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of corporate sponsors who didn’t hesitate to answer the call. These partners went above and beyond to donate life-sustaining resources for the flood response effort:
Every item delivered through this response effort has a story. Whether it’s a pair of gloves protecting a rescuer from sharp debris or a hydration drink handed to a volunteer working their tenth consecutive hour, the impact is tangible.
This isn’t theory or speculation. It’s real aid. Real fast.
Unlike traditional aid models, which often suffer from delay or inefficiency, Troops Direct and Cops Direct maintain real-time communication with field operators to prioritize, package, and deliver exactly what’s needed. And it’s all done at no cost to the recipient.
“We’re filling the gaps the government can’t or won’t,” said Negherbon. “That’s our job. We exist to make sure no one is left waiting for what they need in an emergency.”
In any disaster response, time is the most critical factor. The first 48 to 72 hours can mean the difference between life and death. When a department or search team has to operate without proper gear, it puts everyone’s life at greater risk—including the responders themselves.
Supplies like trauma kits, gloves, water purification tools, and communication gear aren’t luxuries. They are the foundation of safe, effective disaster response.
That’s why this mission matters. And that’s why these donations and partnerships matter.
If you’re reading this and wondering how to contribute—you can. Whether you’re an individual, a business, or a potential corporate sponsor, your support makes a direct impact.
We are actively accepting donations to continue shipping supplies to flood-affected communities across Texas. Every dollar helps keep trucks moving and shelves stocked with the gear our first responders and volunteers rely on.
You can:
Let’s keep showing up, together.
To every company that stepped up: thank you.
To every donor: thank you.
To every responder and volunteer putting themselves in harm’s way to help others: thank you.
We are honored to serve you.
Disaster doesn’t wait. And neither do we.
Support the mission. Be the difference.
